Boise Cascade has designed the SIMPLE FRAMING SYSTEM that brings together all of its engineered building components for ease and compatibility—ALLJOIST products with solid-sawn flanges, BCI joists with VERSA-LAM LVL flanges and an OSB web, VERSA-LAM LVL beams and headers free of designated tops and bottoms, VERSA-STUD LVL framing lumber with double the bending strength of standard dimensional wood, rim boards like VERSA-RIM and VERSA-STRAND that are able to handle seismic and high wind loads, and the highly versatile and strong BOISE GLULAM beams with lengths of up to 66 ft.

BlueLinx introduced onCENTER, a fast framing engineered lumber that is stronger and more uniform than solid sawn lumber. It is available in a wide range of grades and sizes, and can be used for a variety of projects, including residential and commercial construction. onCENTER is also environmentally friendly, as it is made from faster-growing wood species.
